Coalition Kick-Off

The Southeast TX Coalition kicked off its start with a meeting filled with games, educational activities, advocacy cards, and Sunita Rao, Campaign Associate for all of Girl Up, as a guest speaker! With some impeccable girls from Girl Up Houston, and Girl Up clubs from Austin HS, Clements HS, and Ridge Point HS, we shared experiences and information about the Coalition and Girl Up's general mission and goals in the past and going in to the new year. With games to get to know one another, such as the Snowball Fight (where members write three facts about themselves, crumple up the paper, have a snowball fight, and try to match the facts with the person) and the M&M Game, cookies and drinks, and awareness signs, this was an incredible start to our Coalition!
